Lyric & Songs

Lyric & Songs is the presentation of the album of NovAria Filarmonia Orchestra – orchestra of the opera cycle NovAria at the Palau de la Música Catalana– created for two operatic voices, soprano and tenor, and symphony orchestra. It is basically an eclectic concert, in which different musical styles are combined, starting with the classics of nineteenth-century opera until our times with emblematic compositions of international pop, such as the highly acclaimed song Barcelona,
written for the Olympic Games at the city in 1992. A musical travel through the great classical compositions of the world, from those more close to us, the European ones, to the more distant, suggestive and exotic melodies of mainland China.
