Giacomo Puccini composed La Bohême in 1896, a four acts opera that was released on February 1, 1896 at the Teatro Regio in Turin. The story takes place in the 1830s in Paris, France. The opera is based on a collection of intertwined stories by Henri Murger published in 1851 and follows the standard format of Italian opera; it consists of world-famous arias, duets and concertos. The story shows vignettes of young bohemians who lived in the Latin Quarter of Paris and focuses on the comic-tragic relationships of the characters and their lovers. Two-hour staged version: Symphony orchestra, soloists, choir, costumes and so on. More than 70 artists perform on stage!
